3rd Annual East Canyon Half Marathon

Well we did it again! We ran the East Canyon race for the third time. This is definitely going to be a tradition from here on out. Unfortunately, I was not thrilled with my time. My only goal I set for myself each year I run this race is to beat my time from the year before...even if it is just by a minute. Well, my goal was not accomplished. I was pretty mad at the time, but I am over it now....sort of....ok, not really! Ha!:) It is good motivation for the next race I run. Brett and Blaine did amazing, as always! Annika beat her time from last year by TWELVE minutes! So awesome!!

Happy 4th of July!

 To celebrate the 4th of July with my side of the family we went to the Real SL game. They had fireworks after the game so we all got to go on the field to watch them. As mentioned before in my blog, my brother Kevin is Real's athletic trainer. He is the one we (mainly Blaine) go to whenever we are injured and he takes care of us! Thanks Kev:) 

 We had a BBQ with Blaine's side of the family. This is pretty little Pearl in her 4th of July dress! Cute!

We finally got to meet Greyson...well Grey Bear to be exact!:) Love him so much! I am pretty sure I got the best aunt award while they were visiting (sorry Virg). 

Fun Filled Weekend

Over Memorial weekend we did a lot of fun things! Saturday I started the day off right by going to my favorite spin class. I came home to this cute picture of Blaine and our boys (as in our dogs...yes, we are those weird dog people who say their dogs are their kids) Blaine and I decided to go to yoga. I had never done yoga before. I am not flexible...at all! I am glad I went, however, I found it difficult to stay that calm for an hour. I just wanted to get up and run around!! Guess that mean I really need to do yoga more!

Later that afternoon, we all (Blaine, Ryko, Gus and I) went to Diamond Fork to hike, fish and have a picnic. We had this image in our minds of how peaceful and nice it would be to just sit by the river and eat our lunch after a good hike.

 Well....we had a good hike. Gus kept up like a little champ! The picnic part did not go as planned, but we still had a great time. It was a beautiful day! I couldnt have been happier to spend my day with my sweet hubby!

 A familiar conversation with Blaine that happens pretty much EVERY hike.... Blaine: Are you hydrated? Kami: I have no idea. Blaine: Well, what color is your pee? Kami:....I have no idea. Blaine: You better get hydrated!!!!!!

 On Memorial Day we had the wonderful opportunity to go golfing with my mom, Greg, Zak, Nicky and their cute girls. My mom is so cute....and such a great golfer!

 This was the first time I have ever golfed 18 holes. Blaine is a great golfer. I am not a great golfer. I really sucked when we started, but by the end at least I was hitting the ball. I had a couple good shots, thanks to the much needed coaching from Greg.

Vegas Baby!

We decided to take a mini vacation to Vegas. We thought it could be an all-inclusive celebration for Blaine's birthday and my graduation. To make things even more fun we invited Brett and Ann. We stayed at Treasure Island, which was perfect because it was right on the strip. Ann and I were really trying to convice Blaine and Brett to go to Thunder Down Under...but they weren't too on board with that ;) We went to a Cirque Du Soleil show called Ka. It was AMAZING!!!  

 While we were there we did some shopping and hung out by the pool. We saw a lot of...interesting things. Best place to "people watch" by far. Blaine had to keep reminding me to not stare. I couldnt help it! It kept me very entertained!

        The Cosmopolitian was such a cool hotel! I felt a little underdressed!:)

......Catch my Breath

Its time to catch my breath! I feel like I have been going non-stop the last four months...but now I can say that I am an official graduate from the University of Utah. I am a Health Promotion and Education - Community Emphasis major to be exact. Wow! I never thought I would say that....literally....I thought the "light at the end of the tunnel" was something made up. The light is real and it finally came! My family and Blaines family was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. My brothers and my mom have been such great examples to me. Corey and Kev were always there to answer any questions I had and help in any way they could. I am also so grateful that my sweet, sweet husband didnt divorce me during this last semester:) It was the craziest semester EVER! He put up with me through these last four months, and I cant thank him enough for being so patient with me. I AM GRADUATED!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!

Uh....Gus, Gus!

 So...I am sure we have been called "those crazy dog people" multiple times by now. We are ok with that:) This is our little Gus. Ryko and him are best friends! They literally play until they are too tired to move...it is great!

            Brett hates dogs. We forced him to hold Gus...cant you tell?

He hates dogs so bad, that he killed Gus when we werent looking! Well, it looks like it at least:)



Welcome Little Miracle

 This is sweet baby Greyson Ray Prowse. He is the newest Prowse addition and we are bursting with joy to have him!! He was born January 28, 2013. After a lot of prayer and waiting (and I really do mean A LOT), Greyson was placed in Blandon, Brinn and Harper's loving arms by a very couragous girl. We are so grateful! I cant wait to meet my precious new nephew...only a couple more months until I get to kiss that darling little face of his!
