Dog Lake

Blaine and I got to take Ryko up to Dog Lake for his first time. We had no idea if he was going to make it the whole way, but our little tropper did. He made it to the top and all the way back down. He loved the lake...he swam, and swam and swam! He also thought that every other dog was his friend, which wasnt the case, but that didnt stop him from trying to play with them.

On our way up to the lake we saw a HUGE moose on the trial!!! Seriously this thing was so big and so close! Obviously, we stopped and waited to see if the moose would move off the trial. If you dont know, trying to "go around" a moose probably isnt the smartest idea. One lady tried to attempt this.....Are you really going to sneak behind a moose lady??? Maybe I am just a chicken, but I never would have done that! These other people had their dogs off the leash and wouldnt get them before one of the dogs started barking like crazy and running towards the moose. The moose CHARGED after the dog, running in our direction. Me and one other lady turned around and started running away! We werent going to get trampled. Anyways, in the end the moose veered off the trial and went in to the trees, but this was so scary. I thought my heart was going to pound right out of my chest. Lesson learned: Leash your dog if there is a moose near by! (We already knew this) Second lesson learned: If someone doesnt now the first rule, then grab their dog for them and leash him yourself! Ha!

Congratulations Jayci!

My sweet little friend Jayci (middle) is getting married on September 22. So fun!! I am so excited for her. We went to her darling bridal shower last weekend. RaShae, Erin and I all got married within three months of each other. It was a very hectic, but fun, time. I cant believe its almost been three years since we have all been married. I feel like an old woman:) I have known Dawn since 4th grade, Jayci since 7th and Erin and Shae since 10th. We have been best friends forever! I love these girls and in 30 years we will still be friends!

East Canyon

Because Grandpa Rex is so generous, we were able to spend another couple days in the beautiful East Canyon. I really love this place! Blandon, Brinn and Harper were in town from Virginia. It was SO nice seeing them....It kind of makes me mad that they live so far away!:) We love spending time with him! Harper went on his first fishing trip and killed it....it probably took 10 seconds to catch a fish once he put his line in. Natural born fisherman for sure!
