In February 2006 I met Blaine. If anyone knew Blaine when he was in high school, then you should consider yourself lucky. I mean look how cool he is in this picture, right? (If youre not catching on, I'm being sarcastic) Although, I will admit that he is a total HUNK!
This is me with my friends in 2006. These were my best friends (minus Erin) in high school. I would spend all of my time with these cute girls. And I will admit, I thought I was pretty cool in high school too (not as cool as Blaine thought he was though). RaShae (the one to the right of me) and Stetson (her boyfriend at the time) are the ones I will give credit to for setting Blaine and me up. Stetson was one of Blaine's really good friends at the time. Who knew these two were such good match makers! :)
Lucky for me, RaShae and Stetson talked Blaine in to (sad that they had to talk him in to it) asking me to the Prom that was in March. Blaine and I started hanging out the month before. Before we started hanging out, I only knew a few things about Blaine- 1. He played sports. 2. He walked around the school like he was super cool and good looking with Jonathan Cuff. 3. He really was good looking...very good looking. Once I hung out with Blaine I found out some more things about him- 1. He was SO funny. 2. He still did think he was pretty cool:) 3. He was a total romantic. 4. He was extremely down to earth. 5. He loved his family, fishing and Wyatt. He definitely surprised me because he was so different than what I expected. By the time Prom came, I was already head over heels for him. There was something different about him...and I liked it. Prom was a fairytale...and the place I got my first kiss from Blaine. Awww....so cute!!
We had a lot of fun in 2006. We spent as much time together as possible...or as allowed. My mom wasnt too on board (or not on board at all) with the thought of her daughter hanging out with a guy. Usually Blaine charms all the moms he meets, but unfortunately for him, my mom didnt give him the chance to even try to charm her. In 2007, about a year after we met, Blaine and I broke up. Without getting in to much detail, it was hard....very hard....to not be with him. It was three months before I saw or even talked to him. We ended up hanging out again and guess what? I was still crazy about him! (sorry, this story might be a little too mushy for some of you) We got back together on April 28, 2007. Thats Blaine's bday....good gift for him ;)
After a couple years, my mom came around. She even invited him to go to Hawaii with us in 2008...which was HUGE! I never thought in a million years that would happen, but it did. So, in March we went to Hawaii. Blaine was SO nervous being around my mom and Greg because he barely knew them, but all of us had a blast together. It was a good time for Blaine and my mom and Greg to get to know each other better. My mom couldnt help but love Blaine. It is weird how similar my mom and him actually are!
2009 was a great year! On February 13, Blaine asked me to marry him! The engagement, which happened to be a week long thing, was amazing. He put SO much thought and creativity it to it. It was perfect! I found after the engagement that he was a stress case that whole week, but I had no clue. He seemed totally fine to me. Way to play it off Blaine!
Septemer 26, 2009 was the big day! How on earth was I so blessed to get to marry Blaine? There really is no answer, because I know I dont deserve him. I was the happiest girl in the world. Everything....and I mean everything....was absolutely perfect on our wedding day!
It has been almost two and a half years since Blaine and I got married and I am more in love with him than I even thought possible. He helps me every day to be better, try harder and laugh more! We are now about to move in to our own place together...our first little home. We are so excited! There will be more to come on the condo once we get all moved in and settled. Stay tuned! :)

Cute Post Mami! I can't believe it has been 6 years, Wow how time files! Love ya :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Love this. And I love that our relationships are alike in so many ways. 6 years for me and Brett too! I love the picture of you 2 on the Alpine slide. Super cute. Soon, your hair will be that long again!
ReplyDeleteThis post makes me kinda sad tho...that we weren't friends in high school, or right after high school. We could've gone through this whole adventure together! But it's okay, because we are making up for it now!
Love you Kam!
(sorry I decided to write a novel of a comment!)
