Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin carving with Brett and Ann was a blast! Annika's was WAY good! Seriously, I think she should do professional pumpkin carving! However, she did start to freak me out when she turned the knife on my husband. The smile on her face makes it look like she was joking....boy did she fool us! :)

My mom had a Halloween party at her house this year! It was so much fun! All the kids dressed up...oh, and Kevin too! Everyone looked so great! The kids played Halloween games, including Bobbing for Apples.
Cutest dradon ever right?

Love this! Kev was a goalie and Ella was a Real SL cheerleader!
Lola was the sweetest little lion ever and so good at bobbing for apples!
I feel pretty dumb...I cant figure out how to flip these pictures! Ugh!!

Jayci's Wedding

Jayci's wedding was at the end of September (what a great time to get married) Yeah, I suck at blogging the past little while. Anyways, the wedding was BEAUTIFUL and Jayci looked absolutely gorgeous. Its always so fun to get together with my girlfriends. I have known Jayci since 7th grade, and now we are both married and old!!! ;)

Mexico Cruise

We got to go on a cruise with Brett and Annika, which was SO much fun! We took tons of pictures. I tried to narrow it down here, but I still put a lot up. I couldnt help it! We drove to California (10 hour drive) which wasnt bad on the way there because we were so excited to be going. We decided to go a day early so we could spend a day in California before we left on our cruise. Brett's grandparents live in Santa Monica and were unbelieveably generous to let us stay two nights with them. We spent the morning working out at a great beach and then went shopping!

First day on the cruise! As you can tell by Blaine's face, he wasnt sure if he was excited or scared. There was so much to see once we got on to the ship!

The first night we went to a game show. After waving my arms and yelling to get the host to choose Ann out of the audience to play...he did. She did great up there!
This was our first formal night. Every night we had the same waiters...Milos (from Serbia), Maruta (from Indonesia) and Chris (from the Phillipines). They were awesome! We told them that the cruise was sort of a celebration of our anniversaries (Brett and Ann's is two weeks before ours) and on the first formal night they all sang "Happy Anniversary!" each with their seperate accents. So fun!

Cabo was our first stop. It was hot....very hot! The first day we tried some snorkeling. It was a little too wavy and crowded but we still had fun. We also looked around at all the little shops. My favorite line the Mexican salesman would say was, "Almost free!!" Maybe Blaine should start using that at work. The second day in Cabo we spent on the beach just relaxing.

They dont look very happy here.....we were all a little drained from the heat!
This is Maruta at dinner. The waiters would sing or dance for us every night! He knew how to shake it!

Our next stop was Puerta Vallarta. It was amazing! We went on an excursion to a beautiful, secluded beach called Las Caletas. They served a delicious lunch and then we went snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Best part of this excursion? Our tour guide Julio....what a cutie! I think Ann tried asking for his number ;) ha!

This was our second formal night! Blaine looked so handsome
We definitely had our fair share of food on the cruise, however, we still managed to workout pretty much everyday while we were there (tried to at least burn off some of those calories!) There was a great little gym on board. We even had the opportunity of taking a spin class. The instructor was from England. The class was great! His accent was fun to listen to as well. I can still here him (very intensly) saying GEAR ON over and over again! Thanks to him, Blaine actually doesnt hate spin class anymore.
My candy heaven! Bad...but so tasty! Maybe it was a bad thing I found this candy shop on the ship.
This was our cabin....our very, very small cabin. When we booked the cruise, we thought the rooms would be a little bigger. Boy were we wrong! The bad news? These were our beds. The good news? We each had one to ourselves. Haha!

So Proud!

So, I just felt it was necessary to give a HUGE shout out (and brag a little) to my amazing husband! If you dont know already, Blaine is an unbelievably hard worker. Whenever he sets his mind to something...he does it! He started at Crossroads Fitness as a Fitness Consultant and within three months was promoted to Sales Manager. As of Friday, he was promoted to the General Manager of the brand new Crossroads Fitness in West Jordan!! What an accomplishment! I know he will do an amazing job and be a great leader at that club. Prayer and hard work really do work:) Congratulations babe! I'm so proud of you!!

Fishing at Strawberry

This weekend we got to go up to Strawberry Resevoir to go fishing! All the trees had started changing colors....it was quite the site to see! It was such a relaxing, yet exciting weekend!

We went with Grandpa Rex, LuAnn and Blake. This picture was taken as the fish was trying to escape from their hands! I love it! We had so much fun!

Ryko got to come too! He didnt get to go in the boat, but he did get to run around like a crazy dog, go swimming, lick Grandpa Rex in is ear (sorry grandpa!) and snatch a cracker right out of LuAnn's hand (sorry Lu!) He sounds like a naughty dog.....but he is good.....most of the time!:)

It got kind of chilly when we drove back to camp in the boat because of the wind. This is grandpa sitting in the crack between the bow and where we were sitting. He was protecting us from the wind. What a good grandpa! We love him!

Salt Lake Half Marathon

In July, after running the East Canyon Half, Ann and I decided to sign up for another race. We chose the Salt Lake Half....4 miles up and the rest down. My sister, Brooke, ended up signing up for the race with a couple of her friends. I ran the first 4 miles with her and her friend. I am so glad that they were there! There were a couple times I wanted to walk during the uphill (and I probably would have if it would have just been me), but I couldnt stop running because they didnt stop running. They were great motivators. I loved having Brooke there! We ended up finishing together too (ok, well she was like a minute ahead of me:)!
I had to put this darling picture of Annika up! This is after the race...doesnt she just look so cute and happy? I defintely did not look this cute crossing the finish line! You cant tell in the picture but I was WAY sweaty...Brooke thought it was weird how sweaty I was. I told her I just ran 13 miles!:) Ha!! Way to go to Ann for running her second half marathon! And a big thank you to Brett for waking up super early on a Saturday to drop us off. Also, thanks to my sweet hubby for bringing me my spare key after leaving it in Brett's car. Oops!

Dog Lake

Blaine and I got to take Ryko up to Dog Lake for his first time. We had no idea if he was going to make it the whole way, but our little tropper did. He made it to the top and all the way back down. He loved the lake...he swam, and swam and swam! He also thought that every other dog was his friend, which wasnt the case, but that didnt stop him from trying to play with them.

On our way up to the lake we saw a HUGE moose on the trial!!! Seriously this thing was so big and so close! Obviously, we stopped and waited to see if the moose would move off the trial. If you dont know, trying to "go around" a moose probably isnt the smartest idea. One lady tried to attempt this.....Are you really going to sneak behind a moose lady??? Maybe I am just a chicken, but I never would have done that! These other people had their dogs off the leash and wouldnt get them before one of the dogs started barking like crazy and running towards the moose. The moose CHARGED after the dog, running in our direction. Me and one other lady turned around and started running away! We werent going to get trampled. Anyways, in the end the moose veered off the trial and went in to the trees, but this was so scary. I thought my heart was going to pound right out of my chest. Lesson learned: Leash your dog if there is a moose near by! (We already knew this) Second lesson learned: If someone doesnt now the first rule, then grab their dog for them and leash him yourself! Ha!

Congratulations Jayci!

My sweet little friend Jayci (middle) is getting married on September 22. So fun!! I am so excited for her. We went to her darling bridal shower last weekend. RaShae, Erin and I all got married within three months of each other. It was a very hectic, but fun, time. I cant believe its almost been three years since we have all been married. I feel like an old woman:) I have known Dawn since 4th grade, Jayci since 7th and Erin and Shae since 10th. We have been best friends forever! I love these girls and in 30 years we will still be friends!

East Canyon

Because Grandpa Rex is so generous, we were able to spend another couple days in the beautiful East Canyon. I really love this place! Blandon, Brinn and Harper were in town from Virginia. It was SO nice seeing them....It kind of makes me mad that they live so far away!:) We love spending time with him! Harper went on his first fishing trip and killed it....it probably took 10 seconds to catch a fish once he put his line in. Natural born fisherman for sure!

Sweet Baby Pearl

This is sweet little Pearl RaNae Prowse. She is Blair and Virginia's first baby and we couldnt be happier for them! She was born in May and was named after Grandma RaNae (who was also born in May). It is so cute to see Blair and Virg with a baby....you can just tell that they both are completely and utterly in love with this little girl and would do anything for her! Welcome to the family Pearl. I am so excited to be your Aunt Kami!!
